Anne B. Cropp

Anne Cropp, BSc, Pharm.D. BCAP is Chief Scientific Officer for Early Access Care, providing consultative, functional and operational expertise to biopharmaceutical companies for expanded access of investigational drugs.  Prior to founding Early Access Care, Anne was Vice President in the Global Product Development Group of Pfizer Inc.  She is experienced in managing the complexities large global investigational drug development programs and alliances.  She has built high-performing, diverse leadership teams supporting pipeline products from Phase 1 through NDA/MAA submission and successful registration and commercialization. Her expertise spans drugs, biologics and devices. She has extensive direct experience negotiating with Health Authorities for drug development programs and Expanded Access programs.   Anne has over 25 years’ experience in early access programs.  She is a globally recognized expert in expanded access and compassionate use and has chaired several large symposia in the US and Europe.  While at Pfizer she led the development of the policy and process for Compassionate Access and the development of a fully resourced group managing global requests from across its portfolio of compounds and supporting 60 countries.  She led the development and execution of a biopharmaceutical company’s first physician-entry portal for requesting expanded access to investigational drug products.   She certified as a clinical pharmacologist and completed two post-doctoral research fellowships in cardiovascular clinical pharmacology.  

Anne is a board-certified clinical pharmacologist and has extensive experience in the strategy and execution of Phase 2/3B/4 trials. She served as co-chair of the Pfizer Pediatric Council for more than 5 years. Anne has led several Continuous Improvement processes across the spectrum of clinical trial planning, design and execution efficiencies. She has served as the lead for Clinical Process Owners Networks and was the Business Process Owner (BPO) for the Protocol Development Process at Pfizer for more than 10 years. She is currently BPO for Compassionate Access at Pfizer. Anne is currently Vice President, Head of Clinical Excellence in Clinical Sciences for the Global Innovative Pharma Business unit at Pfizer.
